Welcome to the Amelia Con Bazaar, an outdoor marketplace featuring fan communities, cosplay communities, artists, vendors, meet-up space, activities for the whole family, and, of course, more food!  Access to The Bazaar is included with paid admission to Amelia Con 2016. This is a new area of Amelia Con that we’re hoping will provide more opportunities for artists, cosplayers, communities, and exhibitors who are capable of setting up rain or shine the opportunity to participate in Amelia Con in a new, exciting way.

Amelia Con is a rain or shine event and the Bazaar is ENTIRELY outdoors on a grassy baseball field.  We cannot control the weather and will not reschedule the event if it rains. Amelia Con will only be providing the 10×10′ space to exhibit.  (That’s why this space is so inexpensive!)  Amelia Con will not provide tables, tents, electricity, tablecloths, microphones, amps, flooring, load-in assistance, rope, stakes, weights, tarps, umbrellas, ponchos, dividers, carpet, lighting, etc. If you plan to participate, we strongly recommend bringing:
  • 10×10′ tent (at least!)
  • 1 – 2 tables
  • Chairs
  • A sign or banner than can hang from your tent/table indicating the name of your group, company, etc.
  • Weights for your tent
  • A pushcart to help you get your stuff from your car to the field
  • An umbrella – should it rain
  • A portable charger for your electronics
  • 47 10×10′ outdoor spaces for $30 each;
  • Each space includes one Standard Admission pass to Amelia Con 2016; Additional passes can be purchased for $10 each online;
  • 3 Cosplay Community Spaces – Free on a first come, first serve basis Your group leader must complete the Cosplay & Fan Community Application to begin negotiating the use of this space.
  • Each 10×10′ space can be combined to make a larger space.
  • Receive discounts for purchasing multiple spaces: 3: $70 (+1 wristband) 4: $80 (+2 wristbands) 5: $100 (+3 wristbands)
  • Wristbands do not provide early admission to the Exhibit Hall but do provide admission to all Amelia Con events held Friday – Sunday, February 5-7, 2016.
The Bazaar is located on a very large field between the Exhibit Hall and Main Events Hall on Saturday, February 6, 2016. It is a one day only marketplace that will be visible to all attendees traversing between buildings.Amelia Con is currently booking vendors who will provide tournaments and activities on the field to drive traffic to our vendors who will be in this area.  We are currently seeking food vendors with small vehicles to sell niche snacks, drinks, and grub in this area as well.  This area will be heavily advertised online because it showcases Amelia Con’s willingness to expand and meet the requests of our artists, exhibitors, and attendees.  We believe in promoting all of our exhibitors and artists, regardless of their location.  We also believe that our attendees deserve to know all of the awesome things that are happening at our events and that there will be even more amazing vendors and artists in a very accessible location.
Hours
  • The Bazaar is only available on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
  • Load-in for The Bazaar will be conducted at the gate facing Jean La Fitte Blvd. from 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
  • There is limited parking for cars and small trucks on the field.  The street access gate will be closed and locked at 9:30 a.m.
  • The Bazaar will open at 10:00 a.m. to all Amelia Con attendees.
  • The Bazaar will remain open until 5:00 p.m.
  • The Bazaar must be completely vacated no later than 6:30 p.m.
Artists
  • Please follow the Artist Alley application process.
  • If you would prefer to be located in the Bazaar, please put that in the Comments section of your application.
  • If you are accepted into our Artist Alley, but space is not available in the Exhibit Hall, you will be offered a space in the Bazaar, should you be interested.
Exhibitors
  • Please follow the Exhibitor application process.
  • If you would prefer to be located in the Bazaar, please put that in the Comments section of your application.
  • If you are accepted into Amelia Con, but space is not available in the Exhibit Hall, you will be offered a space in the Bazaar, should you be interested.

Other Vendors If none of these categories seems to fit your booth, please complete the Exhibitor Application. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and applicants will be contacted with the status of their application no later than September 1, 2015.  After all of the spaces are filled, we will maintain a waiting list for any applications that met our criteria but were not selected due to spacial limitations.  We have a commitment to our attendees to offer them a diverse marketplace experience where they can find a wide variety of original and official merchandise.
